How do You Make Valentines Vanilla Shortbread Cookies?

Making the dough for Valentines Vanilla Shortbread Cookies is easy and very similar to other butter cookie doughs, with basic usual ingredients – butter, sugar, and flour. Vanilla and jam give them that adorable taste.

In a large bowl, using an electric mixer at medium-high speed, beat the butter, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla sugar. I am a “fan” of vanilla sugar for cookies, and always I have it at home, but If you prefer you can use vanilla extract instead.

Beat until well creamy, scraping bowl often, and reduce speed to low. Add flour gradually, beating until just well combined.

Divide dough in half and wrap each half in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours, or overnight.
